The first complete line of commercial off the shelf power and propulsion system empowers high performance for the commercial UAV market
LOWELL, Massachusetts — April 30, 2019 — ePropelled, the technology leader in magnetic engineering, today announced the Gwynt UAV™ power and propulsion systems for the commercial UAV market. Gwynt products build on ePropelled’s deep expertise in electric machines and represent the first full line of high-performance commercial off the shelf products for both UAV power and propulsion.

For propulsion systems, Gwynt provides propulsion motors starting at 700w and a family of motor controllers. Cooling and efficiency are key to the propulsion motors. Gwynt propulsion motors can operate at up to 200°C based on the rotor design. In addition, our motors support specific power up to 6kW/k.
For power systems, the Gwynt line includes starter generators and power management units (PMUs). ePropelled’s Gwynt series is the most versatile starter generators in their category. The slim line design boasts a patent-pending active air-cooling system that allows it to operate in temperatures in excess of 200°C. A unique patent-pending adaptor allows bearingless mounting of the starter generator directly onto engines.
Gwynt PMUs have a unique modular design for maximum flexibility. Since analytic data is rapidly becoming critical to the operation of any system, the PMUs monitor and log every input and output, voltage and current level via a Controller Area Network (CAN) and an RS-485 interface to the onboard avionics.
